There are three reasons why a ship can float

Most ships are called displacement vessels, where the weight of the ship is balanced by the buoyancy of the water displaced by the hull. For flat-bottomed vessels, such as hydrofoils, the lift is due to the increased speed of the boat, and its lift increases as it moves relative to the water until the hydrofoil is in motion. Non-draining vessels, such as hovercraft, support their weight because of the high-pressure air (air cushion) produced by the vessel, so they can maintain a certain distance

For flat-bottomed vessels, such as hydrofoils, the lift is due to the increased speed of the boat, and its lift increases as it moves relative to the water until the hydrofoil is in motion. Non-draining vessels, such as hovercraft, support their weight because of the high-pressure air (air cushion) produced by the vessel, so they can maintain a certain distance from the water surface. When the upward force and downward force of a ship are equal, the ship reaches static equilibrium. If the ship is further down, the draft is more, its weight remains the same, but the weight of the water discharged from its hull increases. When the two forces are balanced, the boat can float on the water. Even if the cargo on board is not evenly placed, the ship will not tilt forward or back. On the one hand, the stability of a ship is to consider the above static level, and when the ship is affected by external force movement, rolling and pitching, wind and waves, it is also necessary to consider the dynamic level. A ship with poor stability will roll and pitch too much, and eventually capsize or wreck. When a ship is sailing in water, its leading edge will be subjected to water resistance. The resistance can be divided into many components, the main ones are the resistance of water acting on the hull and the wave resistance. If the drag is reduced, the speed will naturally increase, and the wet surface needs to be reduced, and the part of the hull without water must be changed to a shape that produces a smaller amplitude of the water wave. To achieve this, high-speed ships are generally elongated, with smaller or fewer appendages. If you regularly clean the parasitic organisms and algae on the hull, you can also reduce the resistance of the ship, and anti-fouling paint can also reduce the organisms on the hull. More advanced designs, such as the ball bow, can also reduce the drag of waves.

Yangzhou Longhe Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has 970 meters of outfitting wharf, 65m*128m of inner harbor pool, 28,000 square meters of production workshop, 13,000 square meters of PSPC painting room. It is equipped with a 300m×65m slipway that can build ships below 80000T, and a 300m×64m semi-dry dock with a maximum lifting capacity of 600T. A variety of ships under 120000T can be built.
